Lower Than National, Inflation In Jakarta September 2.93 Percent

JAKARTA - The inflation rate in DKI Jakarta in September 2023 was 2.93 percent. From this achievement, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) received an award from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"Jakarta Successfully Controls Inflation By 2.93 Percent. Achieve an award as the Best Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) for the Java & Bali category last September," wrote the dkijakarta Instagram account on Friday, October 20.

The DKI Provincial Government said the annual inflation rate for DKI Jakarta in September 2023 (yoy) from September 2022 was 1.89 percent. This is recorded in data from the DKI Jakarta Central Statistics Agency.

This figure is also lower than the national inflation rate, which is 2.28 percent in September 2023 (yoy).

"The target is that the TPID of DKI Jakarta Province is able to become a pillar of controlling the inflation rate of DKI Jakarta in the range of 2-4 percent," he said.

The DKI Provincial Government also received fiscal incentives provided by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Home Affairs as regions that were successful in the performance of controlling regional inflation.

Fiscal incentives for the period 1 amounted to Rp11.67 billion and period 2 amounted to Rp10.17 billion. All are allocated for the Subsidy Food Program for the period 1 on July 26, 2023 and Period 2 on September 14, 2023.

Meanwhile, in August 2023, DKI Jakarta's annual inflation rate in August 2023 (yoy) was 2.93 percent, lower than the national inflation rate which reached 3.27 percent.

The following are the efforts of the DKI Provincial Government in controlling inflation:- The Movement to plant food in urban areas or urban farming.- Launching the National Food Inflation Control Movement (GNPIP).- Cheap market operation/cheap food movement/cheapful bazaar- Expansion of cooperation between regions (KAD).- Subsidized food programs.- Cheap food movements.- Price monitoring and availability of food supply stocks.- Building food distribution outlets,- Update food price data on the Jakarta Food Information System (IPJ) and the Food Security Information System (SIKP).
