DKI High Court Rejects Bandung Mario Dandy, Still Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta High Court rejected the appeal of Mario Dandy Satriyo and Shane Lukas Rotua regarding the case of mistreatment of Cristalino David Ozora, after the Attorney General Tony Pribadi upheld the decision of the South Jakarta District Court, namely 12 years in prison for Mariodan five years for Shane.

"Strengthening the decision of the South Jakarta District Court 297/Pid.B/2023/PN JKT.SEL dated September 7, which was requested for an appeal," said Chief Judge Tony Pribadi at the DKI Jakarta High Court, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 19.

The DKI High Court also rejected the appeal of Shane Lukas Rotua, a colleague of Mario Dandy Satrio. That way, ShaneLuks Rotua was sentenced to five years in prison.

"State the decision of the South Jakarta District Court 298/Pid.B/2023/PN JKT.SEL dated September 7, 2023, which was filed with the appeal," said Chief Judge Indah Sulistyowati, at the DKI Jakarta High Court, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.

The South Jakarta District Court sentenced Mario Dandy Satriyo to 12 years in prison in the case of mistreatment of Cristalino David Ozora.

The judge's decision is the same as the demands submitted by the public prosecutor (JPU). Mario Dandy was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

In this case, the defendant Mario was charged by the prosecutor with 12 years in prison and paid the restitution or replaced with a sentence of seven years in prison on charges of violating Article 355 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, Shane LukasRotua was sentenced to five years in prison for the case of mistreatment of Cristalino David Ozora. Shane was involved in the case of mistreatment of Cristalino David Ozora along with another defendant, Mario Dandy Satriyo.

Shane was sentenced to five years in prison for violating Article 355 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code.
