Pickpockets In The Middle Of Anies-Cak Imin Supporters Bringing Flags To Save Stolen Cellphones

JAKARTA One of Anies-Cak Imin's supporters in front of the General Elections Commission (KPU) office on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta did not expect a pickpocket in the midst of a crowd who was enthusiastic about accompanying Anies-Cak Imin.

"He was a cellphone pickpocket, fortunately he was caught. The perpetrator was crazy when he dared to pick up in the middle of the crowd. He was very close," said Susan (52) to VOI in front of the Indonesian KPU Office, Menteng, Thursday, October 19.

Another eye witness, Roy (43) said, the perpetrator brought a lot of flag attributes to distract residents. The crowd was annoyed and beat the perpetrator.

"After we held the flag, it turned out that there were many cellphones in it. He covered the cellphone with the stolen flag," added Roy.

For further processing, the perpetrator was secured to the Central Jakarta Metro Police's Central Jakarta KPU Security Post, which is next to the KPU building's gate.

The perpetrator was interrogated by the Central Jakarta Metro Police. Although he continued to argue, the perpetrators continued to be questioned along with the findings of evidence.

"The perpetrator is still suspected. He is still being questioned. He will be taken to the Menteng Metro Police for further processing," said one member of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

Meanwhile, the situation in front of the KPU building was still filled with a number of sympathizers of Anies-Cak Imin's supporters who registered with the KPU.
