2,000 Joint Personnel Alert During Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidate Registration: Routes Passed Are Also Guarded

JAKARTA - Two Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates (Bacapres and Bacawapres) will register for the 2024 General Election (Pemjlu) contest at the General Elections Commission (KPU) Office, Jakarta, today. Around 2,000 joint personnel were deployed to secure the registration process.

"There are 2,000 personnel prepared," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, quoted on Thursday, October 19.

So far, it has not been checked about the pattern of security that will be implemented. It is only said that thousands of personnel will also be alerted along the route that will be passed by the candidates and supporters.

"It is also guarded by routes that will be passed by candidate pairs," said Trunoyudo.

Not only security, Polda Metro Jaya has also implemented traffic diversion around the KPU office. This engineering has been carried out since 06.00 WIB.

"Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 06.00 to completion, registration of presidential and vice presidential candidates will be carried out at the Indonesian KPU," wrote the Instagaram account @tmcpoldametro quoted Thursday, October 19.

People who pass around the KPU office or Jalan Imam Bonjol are asked to cross the alternative route. So, don't get stuck in traffic jams.

Berikut ini, ruas jalan yang dialihkan terkait pengamanan pendaftaran capres dan cawapres;

1. Vehicles from the HI Roundabout heading to Jalan Imam Bonjol will be diverted to Jalan H Agus Salim and Jalan Pamekasan

2. Vehicles from Jalan H Agus Salim heading to Jalan Imam Bonjol are straightened to Jalan Pamekasan or turn right towards the HI Roundabout

3. Vehicles from Jalan Rasuna Said heading to Jalan Imam Bonjol are straightened to Jalan Hos Cokroaminoto or turn right to Jalan Diponegoro

4. Vehicles from Jalan Diponegoro heading to the HI Roundabout are diverted to the left of Jalan Rasuna Said and to the right of Jalan Hos Cokroaminoto

Meanwhile, two pairs of candidates (paslon) Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD will register as Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates.

The Anies-Muhaimin pair will first register at the KPU. It is estimated that it will be around 08.00 WIB.

Then, followed by the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD pair. They plan to register with the KPU at 11.00 WIB.
