"The suspect with the initials MR (30) who was born in Jakarta domiciled in South Tangerang has deceived as many as 24 civilian victims who intend to include their children as members of the National Police," said South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Andi Rian R Djajadi in Banjarmasin, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, October 18.

"So the suspect's modus operandi is claiming to be a member of the National Police serving at the National Police Headquarters with the rank of Iptu by promising to include people passing the selection of candidates for Polri members through the holder ticket," explained the Kapolda.
From the proceeds of the perpetrator's crime, he was able to buy two luxury cars in the form of a Toyota Alpard brand and a BMW sedan which are now also confiscated as evidence.
The legal entanglement imposed by investigators against the suspect is Article 378 concerning Fraud with a penalty of four years and Article 1 paragraph 1 of the Darutat Law Number 12 of 1951 concerning possession of firearms without a permit with a maximum threat of the death penalty.
