JAKARTA - PAN politician Guspardi Gaus hopes that the name of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will not be targeted for shooting as a result of the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which granted the lawsuit related to the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates at least 40 years unless he is currently or has served as a position through elections, including regional elections. The reason is that the realization of the lawsuit is considered a red carpet for his eldest son who is also the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka to participate in the 2024 presidential election contestation as the vice presidential candidate for Prabowo Subianto. "We hope that the name of the President Jokowi will not be used as a shooting target for criticism delivered by the community, building the power dynasty," Guspardi said when contacted, Tuesday, October 17. "Of course, we hope that Pak Jokowi does not agree, including Gibran, also does not want to be nominated," he continued. If Jokowi agreed to Gibran running for cawapres and Gibran are also willing, according to Guspardi, the good name of the president will be in the spotlight. Therefore, he hopes that the father and son refuse to have the perception of building a power dynasty will be refuted.
