Allegations Of SYL's Feelings, Polda Metro Examines Three Ministry Of Agriculture Officials Today

JAKARTA - The alleged extortion case carried out by the KPK leadership against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL continues to be investigated. Most recently, Polda Metro Jaya will examine three officials from the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), today.

"Three witnesses from echelon 1 officials within the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to VOI, Tuesday, October 17.

The three witnesses are the Head of the Division and the Director General. In addition, investigators will also examine two recommendations from the Ministry of Agriculture officials. However, it was not explained in detail about the identity of the witnesses.

It was only conveyed in the investigation process that dozens of witnesses had been questioned to determine the suspect in the extortion case against SYL.

"Total sampai dengan kemarin sudah 23 orang saksi dimintai keterangan selama proses penyidikan," kata Ade.

Meanwhile, today, investigators are also examining former Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Saut Situmorang. The examination of him is said to be scheduled at around 10.00 WIB.

For information, several witnesses who have been questioned are Syahrul Yasin Limpo and Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar. They were questioned at the beginning of the case going up to the investigation stage.

Then, investigators have also examined Kevin Egananta, Friday, October 13. He is an ADC or an aide to the Chairman of the KPK, Firli Bahuri.

Then, the Director of Public Reporting and Complaints Services of the KPK, Tomi Murtomo, has also taken his statement, on Monday, October 16.
