JAKARTA - Two lines of Medan Merdeka Street, Central Jakarta, have been reopened to public transportation. Police officers who are still at the location opened barbed wire barricades and moved MCB concrete using forklifts.

The opening of access to Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat was carried out at around 13.30 WIB from the direction of the State Palace to the HI Roundabout. Previously, the road was closed due to mass action.

Furthermore, at around 13.45 WIB, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat towards the HI Roundabout towards the Presidential Palace was also opened. The two roads were reopened in line with the completion of the demonstration.

"It has been opened," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro, Monday, October 16.

Previously, it was reported that PPSU officers from Gambir Village cleaned a number of poster papers and drink bottles from the Constitutional Court's decision demonstration related to a lawsuit over the age limit for the vice presidential candidate to start disbanding in the Arjuna Wijaya Horse Statue area, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Monday, October 16.

Demonstrations from various alliances began to disperse at around 12.30 WIB.

"We respect the legal decision, yes. We are willing. Come on, we can disperse," said the orator while using a small toa.

Based on VOI monitoring at the location, at around 12.50 WIB, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat had begun to be cleaned up. The crowd began to leave.
