Allegations Of Sexual Harassment Of Santriwati In Central Lombok, Police Intervene

CENTRAL LOMBOK - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Central Lombok Police is investigating allegations of sexual harassment against female students allegedly carried out by the head of the Islamic boarding school (ponpes) with the initials TQH in Pringarata District. This case was revealed after three victims reported to the police in early January 2025.

Kasatreskrim Central Lombok Police, Iptu Luk Il Maqnum, said that based on the report, the immoral act allegedly occurred in 2023 to 2024.

"We have received complaints from three victims who claimed to have been victims of harassment by the alleged perpetrators in the Islamic boarding school environment. Currently, we have examined three victims and one witness," said Iptu Luk Luk on Tuesday, January 7.

The three victims who reported were known to be still students at the Islamic boarding school. To strengthen the investigation, the police have also conducted a post-mortem examination of the victims.

According to the victim's confession, this incident has been going on since 2023 and continues until 2024. However, a new report was submitted this year. Allegations of harassment occurred in the Islamic boarding school environment," he added.

The police suspect that there are more victims than those who report at this time. "Until now, only three victims have submitted reports. If there are other victims who report, we will continue to update the information and investigate further," he explained.

The Central Lombok Police emphasized their commitment to handle this case professionally and ensure the rights of victims are protected. Investigations will continue to be carried out by exploring the statements of the victims, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators in order to reveal the facts in this case.

"We promise to resolve this case transparently and ensure justice for the victims," concluded Iptu Luk Il Maqnum.
