MANADO - Operational Team of the Directorate of Drug Research at the North Sulawesi Police (Sulut) arrested a suspected dealer with evidence of 40.18 grams of methamphetamine in North Minahasa Regency.
The Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Iis Kristian, said that the disclosure of the case began with information obtained by investigators from the North Sulawesi Police's Narcotics Directorate.
“Information obtained, there is someone suspected of possessing and controlling methamphetamine-type narcotics. From this information, an investigation was carried out, ” said Iis Kristian accompanied by the Director of Drug Research at the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Budi Samekto, in Manado, Antara, Tuesday, October 10.
He added that from the investigation, the suspect with the initials SK was arrested, in Kalawat District, North Minahasa.
During the arrest, evidence was found of suspected narcotics of methamphetamine weighing 40.18 grams. The results of the examination of the suspect, the narcotics were obtained from a person with the initials J from Jakarta.
"Furthermore, the evidence will be circulated by the suspect in accordance with orders from the giver of goods with the initials J," he said.
The suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
Director of Drug Investigation at the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Budi Samekto, said that this item had not been sold by the suspect.
