"For the installation of water mist, 133 tools have been installed in 121 buildings, both government buildings and private buildings," said Ani at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, October 6.
The installation of air pollution water sprayers is spread across South Jakarta, West Jakarta, and Central Jakarta.
The operation of the tool is carried out simultaneously, namely for two hours in the morning starting at 09.00-11.00 WIB and in the afternoon it is carried out at 17.00-19.00 WIB.
In the future, Ani said that there would be a installation of 32 water mist units in other buildings.
"In accordance with the recommendation of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menkomarinves), until now we continue to urge all high-rise buildings above 8 floors in Jakarta to start installing water mists," he explained.
On the other hand, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government plans to add one condition in the issuance of a land use promotion permit (SIPPT), namely the obligation to install water mists or water sprayers in every building construction in Jakarta.
SIPPT is a permit granted to developers for land use aimed at an area of more than 5,000 square meters. SIPPT is an effort to control and supervise land use.
"So later in SIPPT we will add criteria. Right, we make a lot of standardization, like for example there must be a fire extinguisher, then there must be a waste processing place," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency Asep Kuswanto.
