North Sumatra Police Reveals Circulation Of 45 Kg Of Medan-Aceh Network Methamphetamine

The North Sumatra Regional Police together with the Resort Police revealed the circulation of 45 kg of methamphetamine, which is a network of Medan, North Sumatra and Aceh.

From the disclosure of the drug trafficking, on Tuesday (3/10), six perpetrators, namely MM, S, MR, TM, NF and N were arrested by police officers.

"The role of the suspects is MM and SD as collectors of methamphetamine at Simpang Opak, Aceh Tamiang Regency to Langsa, East Aceh Regency and promised a salary of Rp135 million by N," said North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Agung Imam Setya Effendi quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 4.

Agung mentioned then MR and TM as intermediaries and promised a wage of Rp. 20 million by N.

The suspect NF as the pick-up for methamphetamine from Aceh and will be brought to Lampung and promised a salary of Rp. 450 million by N.

"Suspect N is the controller and promised a salary of Rp225 million by Aseng in Malaysia," he said.

Agung said that on September 22, 2023, the Tanjungbalai Police revealed a home industry that produces ecstasy pills.

This disclosure began with information about the delivery of drugs without a distribution permit from Jakarta to Tanjungbalai via the Shope online package and then controlled delivery. When the drug was taken by the customer, officers followed it to the Blok E Civil Servant Complex, Sei Raja Village, Tualang Raso District, Tanjungbalai City.

Then the officers found 480 ecstasy pills ready for distribution and other materials suspected of being ecstasy-making materials including methamphetamine.

"From the disclosure, three men, namely MSP, G, and MAR and one woman, namely MSP, were arrested by officers," he said.

The Regional Police Chief explained that from the disclosure of September 12 to October 3, 2023, the North Sumatra Police arrested 1,058 narcotics perpetrators, with details of 263 users and 795 dealers and networks. This number is the disclosure of 768 cases.

From the hands of the narcotics perpetrators, evidence was confiscated in the form of methamphetamine weighing 75.97 kg, marijuana weighing 114.90 kg, marijuana trees as many as 51 sticks and 998 ecstasy pills.

In addition to confiscating evidence of various types of drugs, Rp122,966,000 in cash was also confiscated from the sale of narcotics, 138 motorcycles, 15 cars, 440 cellphones, 109 electric scales and 113 bongs of methamphetamine suction devices and various other evidences.
