JAKARTA - The victim's 8-year-old boy who was abused by adults in a PlayStation rental in the Kebon Jeruk area, West Jakarta, was able to enter school after previously being traumatized.

This case of bullying among children also received special attention from the PPA Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Sat Reskrim). The Head of PPA AKP Reliana along with a number of other agencies visited the victim's family's residence to provide assistance and recovery to the victim.

The arrival of officers to the victim's house to provide information to the victim and his family about their rights in the process of handling and recovering and informing the family of children in conflict with the law in cases of bullying.

So that they can understand the situation and be tolerant to take Restorative Justice. This is in accordance with the provisions of Article 21 of the Child Protection Law.

KemenPPPA psychologist, Resti Nur Hilmawati said, victims of bullying have returned to their normal activities, including going to school.

We will also hold a meeting between the victim and the reported bullying. This meeting will involve the West Jakarta Metro Police, the Child Protection Agency (Bapas) and Social Workers (Peksos), taking into account the documents they produce to ensure the good of children.

In addition, the reported child in this case will receive psychological recovery assistance from the Ministry of Women and Children Empowerment. This is done to avoid conflicts of interest, so that psychological recovery can run objectively.

"This process is similar to the one given to the victim, because psychological recovery is the same right for every individual involved in this case," he said.

Through the collaboration of a number of agencies, it is hoped that psychological recovery will help victims and reported victims overcome the trauma they experienced. This whole process emphasizes the importance of psychological recovery and understanding of children's rights, both victims and reported.

Previously, the West Jakarta Metro Police together with related agencies began responding to cases of bullying or bullying that befell a minor at a Rental Playstation in the Kebon Jeruk area, West Jakarta.

West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head Kompol Andri Kurniawan said his party held a meeting with the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Witness & Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), the DKI Jakarta Women & Children Protection Center Technical Service Unit (UPT PPPA), the Correctional Center (Bapas) and the West Jakarta Social Service as well as the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) to address the viral bullying case.

"We held a meeting to conduct a PK (decision making), because the perpetrator was 12 years old. Seven witnesses have been examined," he told VOI, Monday, October 2.
