The West Jakarta Metro Police together with related agencies have begun to respond to cases of bullying or bullying that befell a minor in a game rental in the Kebon Jeruk area, West Jakarta.

West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head Kompol Andri Kurniawan said his party held a meeting with the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Witness & Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), the DKI Jakarta Women & Children Protection Center Technical Service Unit (UPT PPPA), the Correctional Center (Bapas) and the West Jakarta Social Service as well as the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) to address the viral bullying case.

"We held a meeting to conduct a PK (decision making), because the perpetrator was 12 years old. Seven witnesses have been examined," he told VOI, Monday, October 2.

Meanwhile, the KPAI Commissioner, Kawiyan said that his party recommended that the handling of child cases in conflict with the law be resolved in accordance with the applicable law.

"KPAI recommends that in its resolution it be resolved by referring to the Law on Child Protection. So in its resolution it must prioritize the best interests of children," he said.

Furthermore, Kawiyan also asked that children, either victims or perpetrators, should still be given special assistance. For example, psychological assistance.

"Specific protection must be given, yes, matters related to children must be handled immediately, such as psychological assistance, psychosocial, physically and physically, their health must also be restored. Then related to the reported person or perpetrator also because he is a child must also be given legal assistance and so on," he said.

Previously, it was reported that an act of violence showing a large minor was involved in the abuse of a minor child from the perpetrator was caught on an amateur video camera from the residents.

The incident of violence among minors occurred in a rental game play station in the Pesing Got area, RT 09/04, North Kedoya Village, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta. However, it is not yet known when the incident occurred.

In an amateur camera footage, it shows a boy being abused by a child bigger than the victim. The victim was hit, stepped on and kicked by the perpetrator.

The perpetrator also said disgraceful words to the victim who was already lying on the floor. The victim cried while covering his face with his hands. The perpetrator looked emotional and kept looking at the helpless victim.

Worse, the incident occurred among a number of adults who were at the location. However, they seem to allow the abuse carried out by fellow minors. The video was uploaded to the Instagram account @info.kebonjeruk.

"Because of fighting to play PS, a boy was persecuted. What makes him annoyed is that there are people who are more mature but don't intervene, they are fun playing PS and the other is actually making videos," wrote the social media account, quoted by VOI, Sunday, October 1.
