No Longer IDR 5,000, This Is The Latest Jabodebek LRT Promo Tariff October 2023

YOGYAKARTA People in Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Bekasi (Jabodebek) can use public transportation modes in the form of Integrated Railroads (LRT). It should be noted that currently the Jabodebek LRT flat tariff is IDR 5,000 ending as of Saturday, September 30. However, the management has a promo rate for the Jabodebek LRT in October 2023.

As is known, the LRT manager previously imposed a Jabodebek LRT promo rate of IDR 5,000. The tariff applies to all routes. However, the promo rate has ended and was replaced with a new promo rate to attract passengers.

Regarding the latest Jabodebek LRT promo rate, Jabodebek LRT Public Relations Manager, Kuswardojo, explained that as of October 1, 2023, people who use the Jabodebek LRT will only be subject to the latest promo rate, namely by setting the minimum and maximum tariffs.

The latest minimum rate for the Jabodebek LRT is IDR 3,000, while the most expensive LRT tariff with the most distant route is a maximum of IDR 20,000.

"This is still the next promo rate set by the government after yesterday's initial promo rate of IDR 5,000 flat," explained Kuswardojo in his statement, Saturday, September 30.

The promo rate for the Jabodebek LRT will be valid for several months, from October 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024. Meanwhile, the Jabodebek LRT tariff as of March 1, 2024, is planned to apply a normal ticket rate.

"After this promo tariff, the normal tariff will apply according to PM 67 of 2023 with the amount of the first Rp5,000 kilometers (Km) and Rp700 per km," he explained again.

How to calculate the normal rates for the Jabodebek LRT itself is contained in the Decree of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Number KM 67 of 2023, concerning the transportation rates for people with light trains integrated in the Jabodebek area. Thus, the LRT tariff with the closest station route is IDR 5,000 while the maximum station rate is IDR 24,000 to IDR 25,000.

For example, passengers using the LRT with the Dukuh Atas - Jatimulya route will travel as far as 27.3 km. With this route, the applicable tariff is around Rp. 23,000 to Rp. 24,000.

"People who plan to use the LRT are advised to find out the schedule for the Jabodebek LRT, both early departures and final departures, which are valid as follows," quoted from the Jabodebek LRT account.

It should be noted that the Jabodebek LRT currently only operates 16 trainsets with 234 trips per day. With this mode of public transportation, it is hoped that it will be able to provide convenience for the community in reaching dense areas in the area around Jabodebek.

During the LRT operation until now, it is recorded that Dukuh Atas Station is one of the densest stations with the dominance of worker passengers. Overall, there are five Jabodebek LRT stations that have the most service users, namely Dukuh Atas, Harjamukti, West Bekasi, Jati Mulya, and Kuningan Stations.
