Rumored To Be Ganjar's Vice Presidential Candidate, Mahfud MD Gets A Cadre Applause At The PDIP National Working Meeting IV

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD was present at the opening ceremony of the PDIP IV National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Friday, September 29. His presence had received applause from the cadres present.

From observations at the location, Mahfud received a speech when his face was highlighted by the camera and displayed on screen at the event location.

As for this activity, President Joko Widodo arrived at the Rakernas IV PDIP arena with Megawati's son who is also the Chair of the PDIP DPP M. Prananda Prabowo, Cabinet Minister Pramono Anung, and PDIP General Treasurer Olly Dondokambey.

Before Jokowi arrived, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin arrived first. Arriving Jokowi, Megawati invited Jokowi, Vice President Ma'ruf and Ganjar to the food exhibition room.

The presence of this group caused a stir because the booth guard couldn't stand not to call the names Megawati, Ganjar and Jokowi. They saw a number of booths and had time to talk with stand guards such as chicken and BRIN livestock.

Then also present were the ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet apart from Mahfud. They are Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Hamongan Laoly, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmavati, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR) Hadi Tjahjanto.

Previously reported, Ganjar had spoken about the opportunity for East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD as potential companions in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). He said the two names that were widely rumored to have strengthened recently.

"Yes, all the issues are getting stronger because we want to discuss food," Ganjar told reporters at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Friday, October 29.

Even so, Ganjar avoided when asked about Khofifah's name which was already in the pocket of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri. He only said that he was focusing on the implementation of the PDIP Rakernas IV.

The theme of the PDIP Rakernas IV is 'Food Sovereignty for the Welfare of the Indonesian People' with the theme 'Pangan as an Emblem for the Predemic of Indonesian Leadership for the World'. This activity lasted for three days from Friday, September 29 to Sunday, October 1.

"This is the National Working Meeting for food," he said.
