Kaltara Focuses On Green Economy Development

TANJUNG SELOR The Provincial Government of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) is focusing on green economic development.

This was conveyed by the Governor of Kaltara, Zainal A Paliwang, at the 23rd Plenary Meeting on the Joint Approval of the Draft Regional Regulation on Amendments to the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for Fiscal Year 2023 at the Kaltara DPRD, Wednesday, September 27.

He revealed that the Revenue Budget and Regional Government (APBD) of North Kalimantan Province have an important role as a leverage for regional economic recovery.

"And we should be grateful together, if Kaltara's economic growth in the second quarter of this year experienced growth of 4.91 percent," said the Governor.

According to him, Kaltara Province continues to strive in the development of a green economy.

This has also become the world's concern in addition to efforts to rehabilitate forests and land. As well as securing forest and land fires. Therefore, the provincial government continues to make environmental development efforts in districts/cities through the transfer of ecological-based provincial budgets (TAPE).

"This is in accordance with the spirit of Building Menata Kota Village," he said.

He explained, from the RKPD of North Kalimantan Province in 2023, Development Planning is directed at broad Development and Strengthening which includes Primary Industry, Processing Industry, Electricity Industry, Trade and Services Industry, Tourism Industry and Creative Economy, and Small and Medium Industries.

The APBD is an effort by local governments to adapt financial plans to substantive developments.

"The change is an adjustment to the performance targets or annual financial plans of the Regional Government that have been previously set," said Zainal.
