Menpora Dito And His Wife Attend The Berkebaya Palace Event

JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo and his wife Niena Kirana Riskyana attended the Berkebaya Palace in front of the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, Sunday, August 6 afternoon.

The event was opened directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana. The President wore a black shirt with a green sarong wrapped. Meanwhile, Iriana wears a red kebaya encim. In his remarks, President Jokowi said the kebaya symbolizes the character of the Indonesian nation.

"Yes, the kebaya symbolizes the character of the graceful Indonesian people, who are gentle, polite, and humble," said President Jokowi.

The Berkebaya Palace event itself featured a fashion show by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, the wives of the ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, one of which was the wife of Menpora Dito, namely, Niena Kirana Riskyana who took part in the fashion show running on the catwalk.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said the Berkebaya Palace event was part of the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. This kebaya fashion show was held to celebrate the beauty and diversity of Indonesian culture.

"As soon as the spirit of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day continues to advance for Advanced Indonesia, the Berkebaya Palace event invites us to love and preserve Indonesian culture and knit unity and integrity as a solid foundation for the progress of the nation," said Heru.

At the event, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Wury Estu Handayani were also present. Ma'ruf wore a white shirt with a black sarong. Meanwhile, Wury wore a white kebaya encim.

Then also present were the ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. Those who attended with their respective partners were Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo, Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md, TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, Minister of Information Budi Arie Setiadi, Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, to Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
