Kemenpora Wants PON XXI 2024 Successful Achievements, Implementation, Economy And Administration

ACEH - The Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenpora RI) hopes that the XXI National Sports Week (PON) in 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra can achieve several successes, namely successful achievements, successful implementation, successful administration and economic success.

This hope was conveyed by the Deputy for Sports Achievement Improvement, Surono during the Coordination Meeting (Rakor) with the XXI National Sports Week (PB PON) Committee in 2024 in the Multipurpose Room of Building E of the Aceh Governor's Building Complex, Friday, August 4.

"Aceh will hold 33 sports which will be attended by 38 provinces. Hopefully this will be successful, both our athletes will break national records, Southeast Asian records, Asia and even world records," said Surono.

According to him, according to DBON's mandate, the purpose of PON is to find athletes' seeds to be developed to national athletes and prepared to multieven both in Asean, Asia and the Olympics in order to strengthen the Indonesian national team.

"Then because of this very limited time, it is necessary to accelerate the facilities and infrastructure for 33 sports. After this infrastructure is completed, later we will enter regarding the technical implementation of the match by KONI and we will back up for Panwasrah, TD, the Legitimate Team, jury referee training and so on," he added.

"After this implementation has been technically handled properly, we have to see how much APBN and APBD funds have been disbursed. So that after the implementation everything will be audited. So administrative accountability is needed and it should be successful administration after successful achievements and successful implementation," he explained.

Surono emphasized that there is Precision for this accountability side. According to him, the success of this administration is very important. He did not want that after the XXI 2024 PON there would be legal problems.

"This administrative success is highly anticipated and needs to be mutually agreed so that every PON has a problem. Hopefully this Aceh XXI 2024 PON will be clear and clean for administration," he said.

Furthermore, according to him, the implementation of the 2024 PON is expected to move the people's economy, especially in the Aceh region. "Then after all, there are more than 10 thousand people who come and this is an opportunity to move MSMEs in Aceh. Both the culinary, MSME products from various regions so that they move the economy. Hopefully after this there will be a meter pending that we can convey to the leadership," he added.

The Governor of Aceh and the General Chair of PB PON Achmad Marzuki hopes that the central government will continue to pay attention to the successful implementation of the XXI 2024 PON in the Aceh Region.

"With a lot of experience in organizing PON, we ask for direction and support from the central government. After this we will continue to coordinate and we will continue to communicate and provide updates, especially with the Central KONI, Kemenpora and others," he said.

Chairman of the Central KONI Marciano Norman, emphasized that the preparation of all PON events was in the 2024 PB PON XXI Aceh region. However, he is optimistic that the 2024 PON will run smoothly.

"I am optimistic that the remaining one year we can be utilized optimally. This four-year sporting event must be successful. Moreover, Aceh-North Sumatra is the host of the first PON to be held in two provinces. With a collaboration of 33 sports in Aceh and 34 sports in North Sumatra, even though the high challenges we present will provide maximum support," he said.

Member of Commission X DPR RI Illiza Sa'aduddin Djamal emphasized that Commission X of the DPR RI fully supports the implementation of the XXI 2024 PON Aceh Region. "We from the DPR RI are certainly very committed to providing full support. I appreciate the Governor of the fan ranks. Those who have fought so far for the preparation of this PON as a whole. I agree what is maximized and formed by BLU. God willing, we are optimistic that this PON will run well and smoothly," he said.

At this coordination meeting, the Deputy for Mental Revolution Coordination, Cultural Advancement and Improvement of Sports Achievements at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Didik Suhardi, regents throughout Aceh, Kadispora and Korida Aceh, ranks of the Central KONI, Kapolda, Pangdam and representatives from the Aceh Basarnas.
