Menpora Dito Appreciates The Struggle Of The Indonesian National Team In The AFF U-23 Cup In 2023

SOLO - Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo appreciated the struggle of the Indonesian national team in the 2023 AFF U-23 Cup. In this championship, Indonesia became runner-up after losing dramatically to Vietnam on penalties.

This was conveyed by Menpora Dito after watching the Indonesian national team (Nobar) together with Vietnam at the Solo City Hall, Central Java, Saturday, August 26. Menpora Dito shared with Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo and Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The group watched the top match through videotron. The community also participated in the event and packed the location of the Solo City Hall yard and its surroundings. All those present unite the spirit to fully support the Garuda Muda squad.

Menpora Dito and Mayor Gibran looked enthusiastic. They occasionally seemed to stand up and applaud the action of Shin Tae-yong's team. Even though the Indonesian national team lost, Menpora Dito still praised the performance of Sananta and her friends.

"We give our appreciation to the Indonesian national team. The Indonesian national team plays with a defensive and attacking strategy as well as the best, very good," said Menpora Dito.

According to Menpora Dito, the Indonesian national team experienced a little disadvantage in this year's AFF U-23 Cup final match. Several experiments are often carried out, but no goals have been created. It is hoped that the Indonesian national team can immediately rise up to face other championships.

"If you lose the penalty, in my opinion, it's just a matter of handline. I see the Indonesian national team up to extra time, defending and attacking are both good. Hopefully in the future it will be even better," explained Menpora Dito.

Indonesia became runner-up after losing a 6-5 penalty to Vietnam in the top match which was held at Rayong Stadium. This result made Vietnam come out as the champion of the AFF U-23 Cup.
