Khofifah Is Considered To Have Made An Advantage For Prabowo If He Becomes The Vice President

Surokhim Abdussalam, a political observer from Trunojoyo University, Surokhim Abdussalam, assessed that the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, was able to bring benefits for Prabowo Subianto's winning step, if he was partnered with as a candidate for vice president.

"If Mrs. Khofifah becomes Prabowo's vice presidential candidate, this will be a surprising couple. They can fill each other's voids," said Surokim, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 26.

The potential that Khofifah was able to present was due to her wealth of experience in the national arena as Minister of Social Affairs.

In addition, the Governor of East Java also has a solid mass base from Muslimat and Fatayat.

Moreover, currently, the candidates for vice president are looking for a partner from Nahdliyin figures, one of which is Khofifah, an option.

He felt that the two aspects were able to show the strength possessed by Khofifah, so that she could support Prabowo Subianto's vote in the 2024 presidential election.

On the other hand, Prabowo can also gain profits if he places Khofifah in the winning team.

"If you become a successful team, the name Khofifah wins has an influence. If you become a vice presidential candidate, it actually has significant potential in garnering votes," said Surokhim.

Similarly, communication expert from Universitas Airlangga (Unair) Surabaya Suko Widodo said Khofifah was able to bring more value to Prabowo when he was later appointed as a vice presidential candidate.

His preference for public support poured into Prabowo's voice bag.

"This means that it has great potential," said Sukowi, his nickname.

Sukowi also stated that the Khofifah duo could accommodate Prabowo Subianto's needs in the interests of the voices of Nahdliyin.

"Bu Khofifah once had experience as a minister, experience in executives, experience as a member of parliament and had experience in the context of managing the masses and with his experience as chairman of the NU Muslimat. Social capital is good enough to gain votes," he said.

However, the Prabowo-Khofifah duo still considers the approval of the supporting party that is part of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

"Depending on the party, there is also Golkar, there is PAN, there is a supporting party. Of course it must exist, whether they also feel suitable and so on, but when viewed from the electoral sector, Mrs. Khofifah is quite strong," he said.
