Menpora Dito Wants Youth Mental Health Centers To Be Spread Throughout The Region

JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo wants the Youth Mental Health Center program to spread to all regions in the country. This is expected so that it can be immediately implemented as a concrete step in fighting for mental health.

This was conveyed by Menpora Dito after launching the mental health center program at the Media Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 2. For now, Menpora Dito said that his party had coordinated with Dispora Bandung and also Dispora Jakarta.

"This mentality center is for the public. We will try and collaborate with the city of Bandung and hopefully it will also be available in Jakarta. Later it will be applied to the regions," said Menpora Dito.

Menpora Dito explained that the mental health center launch also emphasized that his party, apart from concentrating on physical fitness, also cares about mental health. With mental health maintained, it will produce something productive.

"We want the younger generation to be physically fit, and their body and soul to be healthy. I think later Bandung will be the first mental health center branch. Hopefully this can be applied properly and spread throughout the region," explained Menpora Dito.

The same thing was conveyed by Acting Deputy for Youth Empowerment of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Yohan. With cross-sectoral cooperation and active youth participation, it is hoped that mental health problems can be overcome more effectively.

"We consider it necessary to socialize and coordinate and conduct trials, one of which will be carried out in Bandung, West Java. Hopefully this can be implemented throughout Indonesia," he concluded.
