Awesome, JTS Kelapa Gading Students Win Gold Medals and Trophies at the 2024 Tournament of Champions

JAKARTA - Jakarta Taipei School (JTS) Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta has again made an achievement in the 2024 Tournament of Champions (TOC) at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, United States, November 13-19, 2024. This annual event is an important moment for students and schools to achieve achievements in the field of education. Specifically, JTS won 1st place in the CRIA TOP TEAMS category.

The 2024 Tournament of Champions was attended by 60 countries, Indonesia was also one of the participants who won the championship and brought home 3 trophies, 23 gold medals and 42 silver medals.

It was recorded that 12 JTS students competed in the 2024 Tournament of Champions. In several tournament categories included, dozens of JTS students won gold and silver medals. This is a source of pride and achievement.

The categories followed by the participants are Debate, Writing, Individual, Debate Champion, Scholars Challenge, Scholars bawl

Matthew Niel Kesuma (10), one of the participants in TOC this year explained that he had an extraordinary experience in this competition.

It should be noted that the participants had previously participated in The World Scholar's Cup (WSC), from Jakarta to Seoul, South Korea and succeeded in winning the TOC at Yale University, Connecticut, United States.

"WSC is not only for students to practice world-scale debates, but also to strengthen social relationships with team members from each participant. I got an extraordinary experience in this competition," said Matthew Niel Kesuma, the youngest participant in TOC 2024.

Some of the names of participants from Jakarta Taipei School, namely: Nixon, Matthew, Diane, Karyssa, Jacqueline, Flynn, Reyes, Agastya, Christalynn, Clarabelle, Putri, Hailey.

The achievements of the students of Jakarta Taipei School (JTS) cannot be separated from the support and guidance of teachers, who were also present at the competition, Emmely Plaza Judaya, Katitah Kersaning Gusti, Nicholas Elaine Chen, Yuliana Suwarto.
