The SKD test in the 2023 CPNS selection consists of three categories of questions or materials, based on Permen PAN-RB No. 27 of 2021. After passing the SKD test, participants must prepare themselves to take the SKB test. At this stage, participants will be tested according to the competence of the field they have or in formations that are proposed according to the needs of the position.

TIU is a test aimed at knowing mastery in knowledge and capability including aspects, verbal, numerical, and physical abilities. TIU consists of 35 questions, with the correct answer calculated 5 points and the wrong answer calculated 0 points. The following is a lattice in the matter of TIU tests:

TWK is a test aimed at the question of assessing the ability or insight surrounding nationality. This test consists of 30 questions, with the correct answer calculated 5 points and the wrong answer calculated 0 points. The following is the material lattice in the matter of TIU:

SKB is a test that aims to test the competence of the fields owned by participants, to see the suitability of the formation or need of office. The questions in the SKB test contain questions to hone the abilities and skills of applicants according to their fields. Each agency has a different number and type of SKB tests.

There are agencies that apply the SKB test only in the CAT method. However, there are also agencies that apply other forms of SKB tests, such as:
