Victims Died In Concrete Accidents On The Situbondo Pantura Line Becomes 4 People

SITUBONDO - The Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Situbondo Resort Police, East Java, noted that there were two more victims of accidents on the northern coast road connecting Java-Bali, bringing the death toll to four.

Head of the Situbondo Police Traffic Unit, AKP Suwarno, said that the additional two victims who died as a result of the successive accident were passengers of the N 7388 EA police number.

"The two accident victims died after receiving medical treatment at the Besuki Hospital. Earlier, it was handled by hospital medics at around 13.00 WIB and died at around 15:00 WIB," said AKP Suwarno as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, September 23.

According to him, until now the victims of consecutive accidents who suffered minor injuries were partially treated at the Besuki Hospital and some of the other victims were taken home by their families to Batu City (Malang).

AKP Suwarno also said that the truck driver with police number B 9847 UEW is still being investigated at the Situbondo Police Traffic Accident Unit Office to determine for sure the cause of the successive accident which resulted in the death of four passengers.

"For the time being, truck driver number B 9847 UEW E Nano Setiawan (42), a resident of Mekarasih Village, Malangbong District, Garut Regency, is undergoing examination by our officers," he said.

An accident involving a truck number B 9847 UEW and a cold diesel truck number B 9396 KCF as well as a microbus number N 7388 EA carrying 12 passengers took place on the Pantura highway, Besuki District, on Saturday morning.

The driver of the microbusnopol N 7388 EA Sutrisno (41), a resident of Tlogomas Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City, died at the scene and suffered head injuries and lacerations to his right and left legs.

Passengers of the Microbus vehicle on behalf of Sumiyati (45), a resident of Junrejo Village, Junrejo District, Batu City, also died at the location and suffered a closed bone fracture in the right leg and suffered a laceration to the right side of the head.

The successive accident occurred when the truck number B 9847 UEW driven by E Nano Setiawan (42) drove from east to west (Banyuwangi-Surabaya).

While at the scene, it is suspected that the truck swerved to the right and the driver could not control the speed of the vehicle so that it hit a truck with police number B 9396 KCF driven by Lelono G andmicrobusN 7388 EA which came from the opposite direction.

The names of the victims of the accident died and minor injuries (survived), namely Sutrisno (microbus driver) and Sumiyati (microbus passenger) died at the scene.

The accident victims died after receiving medical treatment at Besuki Hospital, namely Sarmi and Sanadi (passenger of the microbus). Meanwhile, the victims survived and suffered minor injuries, namely Wiwik, Aryadila, Agus, Afan, Wildan, Sabrina,agillara, Moh Zafran. The death and minor injuries were passengers of the microbus asal Batu City (Malang).
