JAMBI - The Drug Investigation Unit (Satres) team of the Merangin Police, Jambi Province, arrested the perpetrator of the drug abuse of methamphetamine with the initials AR (42) who was hiding in a rubber plantation owned by local residents. The suspected drug abuse of methamphetamine was arrested on Friday in Baru Hamlet, Tabir District, Merangin Regency, Jambi,” said Merangin Police Narcotics Head AKP Simsal Siahaan. The suspect in the misuse of methamphetamine is on the Merangin Police Narcotics Unit's wanted list (DPO). The arrest of the perpetrator was around 14.00 WIB. Starting when the Merangin Police Narcotics Satres Team conducted an investigation into the target operation (TO) of drug abuse in the Dusun Baru area, Tabir District, Merangin Regency, Jambi Province. Simsal said, armed with this information, the team finally managed to arrest two perpetrators with the initials S (20) and ZZ (35). From these two suspects, the team confiscated evidence of methamphetamine. After developing that the methamphetamine information was obtained from AR alias Dom. Getting the information, the team immediately pursued it to Dusun Baru Village, Tabir District. After the whereabouts of the suspect AR alias Dom was discovered, the team also managed to arrest the suspect in the hut in the middle of the rubber plantation. "The suspect AR alias Dom has been included in the DPO for the type of methamphetamine narcotics case several times," said AKP Simsal Siahaan.

When the team was secured, the team confiscated evidence of two packages of suspected methamphetamine wrapped in clear plastic clips with a gross weight of 16.80 grams, and a methamphetamine hisab. Currently, the team is still investigating where the suspect got this type of methamphetamine. For his actions, the suspect is subject to Article 114 paragraph (2) Subsidiary 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics.
