17 Trans Batam Buses Prepared To Help Relocation Of Rempang Residents To Flats

The Batam City Transportation Service, Riau Islands (Kepri), has prepared 17 Trans Batam buses to help relocate residents of Rempangke flats (rusun) that have been prepared.

"According to need, finally the General Bureau of BP Batam asked to prepare 17 Trans Batam bus fleets," said Head of the Batam City Transportation Service (Dishub) Salim as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 20.

He conveyed that there are three flats owned by the Batam City Government that can be used for temporary relocation for residents of Rempang.

There is also a transportation fleet prepared, in addition to Trans Batam buses, namely trucks and buses with large capacities.

Head of the Batam City Communications and Information Office, Rudy Panjaitan, said that his party also provided school buses to transport school students affected by the relocation.

"Relocation of residents will use trucks to lift their belongings, then there are also big buses, that's the mechanism," said Rudy.

Facilities in flats are available, such as smooth electricity and water.

It was previously reported that the Batam City Government had prepared three flats or around 202 rooms for temporary relocation for residents of Rempang.

Head of the Batam City Communication and Information Office, Rudy Panjaitan, said that apart from the Batam City Government flats, several other flats were prepared, namely the Batam BP Flats (five flats), the Jamsostek Flats (three flats), and shophouses and housing.

"There are three flat locations that have been prepared and have been submitted to the team. They are in the Kabil, Tanjung Uncang areas, and currently all equipment has been mapped there," said Rudi.
