The Batam City Transportation Service, Riau Islands (Kepri), has prepared 17 Trans Batam buses to help relocate residents of Rempangke flats (rusun) that have been prepared.
"According to need, finally the General Bureau of BP Batam asked to prepare 17 Trans Batam bus fleets," said Head of the Batam City Transportation Service (Dishub) Salim as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 20.
He conveyed that there are three flats owned by the Batam City Government that can be used for temporary relocation for residents of Rempang.
There is also a transportation fleet prepared, in addition to Trans Batam buses, namely trucks and buses with large capacities.
Head of the Batam City Communications and Information Office, Rudy Panjaitan, said that his party also provided school buses to transport school students affected by the relocation.
"Relocation of residents will use trucks to lift their belongings, then there are also big buses, that's the mechanism," said Rudy.
Facilities in flats are available, such as smooth electricity and water.
