Elementary School Students Victims Of Machetes In Gresik Still Refuse To Go To School

Gresik Regent Fandi Akhmad Yani ensured that the district government (Pemkab) would provide full assistance to SAH (8), an elementary school student who was a victim of abuse, resulting in a decline in vision due to being stabbed by a meatball. Until now, the student is still reluctant to go to school.

This was conveyed by the Regent of Gresik while visiting the victim's house in Randu Padangan Village, Menanti District, Tuesday. The visit of the Regent was accompanied by the Head of the Gresik Police AKBP Adhitya Panji Anom, Head of the Hariyanto Education Office, Head of the KBPPPA Service Point Ernawati, Managing Director of RSUD Ibnu Sina Soni, and Sub-District Head Hendriawan Susilo.

According to him, the assistance instructed to the ranks of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) or related agencies, ranging from psychological and mental assistance, school assistance, to medical assistance.

"God willing, we will try our best, accompany SAH's younger brother through related agencies. We will try to prevent the trauma experienced by our child from prolonged, his mentality will recover and he can immediately return to school," said Fandi, Tuesday, September 19.

Specifically, the Gresik Regent instructed the KBPPPA Office to provide psychological assistance. The goal is that the trauma experienced by the victim can be handled. This assistance is quite important because the victim is still traumatized and refuses or refuses to go to school.

Then, the Gresik District Education Office (Dispendik) was asked to provide assistance related to the transfer of victims' schools. This is because the results of the psychological team's recommendation suggested that SAH be moved to school as a form of follow-up to the trauma experienced.

"After our child's psychology and mentality recovers, I hope the Education Office can invite SAH children to see which school he wants. We try to get the school close to the residence, and don't pass the highway to make it safer," he explained.

Furthermore, medical assistance will also be carried out by the Ibnu Sina Gresik Hospital. The plan is for medical treatment to be followed by an MRI examination to find out the latest condition from the victim's eyes. The examination was originally to be fully supported even in terms of costs.

"I personally and the people of Gresik Regency offer prayers for SAH's children. Hopefully there won't be anything heavy, so that our child can return to studying and achieving his goals. The most important thing right now is how to look to the future," he said.

As is known, an elementary school student in Menanti Subdistrict became a victim of abuse by her seniors. The unfortunate incident occurred because he was reluctant to comply with the perpetrator's request for money, the perpetrator finally got emotional and stabbed the victim's eye with a meatball bow.
