Reviewing Pindad In Bandung, Jokowi Disopiri Again Prabowo Rides Maung

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited PT Perindustrian Army (Pindad) in Bandung, West Java, Tuesday, September 19.

He used the latest vehicle produced by Pindad, named the black "Maung" which was directly driven by the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto.

Coming around 10.30 WIB using Maung, President Jokowi was seen sitting in the front seat while in the back seat of the Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman, together with the President Director of PT Pindad Abraham Mose.

The group then entered the Special Vehicle Production Facility Building where a number of steel tanks produced by PT Pindad were stored, to see the production items there, including supporting goods for the train industry, tractors, and gas cylinders.

Met on the sidelines of the review, Jokowi expressed his opinion on Maung's car.

"Yes, it's going up, indeed the production here from Pindad is the famous one, right. Smooth, good, and good," he said.

The group, which was also attended by Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin, Pangdam III/Siliwangi Major General TNI Erwin Djatniko, West Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol Akhmad Wiyagus, and Acting Mayor of Bandung Ema Sumarna, conducted a review of about 45 minutes.

Before leaving the PT Pindad area, President Jokowi responded to a request for a joint photo of PT Pindad workers who looked enthusiastic about the visit of the number one Indonesian.

At around 11.45 WIB, Jokowi and his entourage then left the PT Pindad area using a black sedan with the police number RI-1. When leaving PT Pindad, Jokowi was also seen inviting Prabowo to get into his car.

After coming from PT Pindad, Jokowi and his entourage are scheduled to enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Bandung City before returning to Jakarta.
