Only 2 Hotspots Left In West Sumatra From The Hundreds That Emerged In The Last 4 Days

A total of hundreds of hot and hotspots have been observed since the last four days in West Sumatra (West Sumatra).

The head of the West Sumatra Forestry Service said the hotspots had been successfully extinguished by the West Sumatra Forest and Land Fire Control Team (Dalkarhutla). "The conditions this afternoon, from almost a hundred hotspots and hotspots in West Sumatra since Monday (11 September) have been under control. He said the hotspots which were later confirmed as hotspots occurred in the PT Sapta plantation area in Lunang, Pesisir Selatan Regency, on September 11-12.

"The West Sumatra Provincial Dalkahutla Task Force and the Pessel Fire Brigade immediately went to the location to extinguish the fire and today it has been reported that it has been successfully extinguished," he said.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours in West Sumatra, 86 hotspots were also observed with four red and 83 yellow spots each.

For red hotspots or confidence levels above 80 percent, two points were observed at the 50 City Forest Management Unit (KPH) and two points at the Pesisir Selatan Provincial Forest Management Unit (KPKP).

"Currently the Dalkarhutla Brigade is still at the location for extinguishing, each team in Lunang (Pessel) and a team in Kapur Sembilan (50 Kota). We are waiting for an official report," he said.

However, according to him, based on monitoring the hotspot at 16.00 WIB on the SiPongi application in the West Sumatra area, there are only two hot yellow spots.

"While we can conclude that forest and land fires in West Sumatra can be controlled," he said.

However, Yozarwardi said teams in the regions were still asked to actively monitor hotspots, guided by SiPongi.

"This includes other KPHs, namely Sijunjung and Dharmaraya," he said.
