PONTIANAK - Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian appointed the Regional Secretary of North Kayong Regency Romi Wijaya as Acting Regent of North Kayong following the end of his tenure as Regent Citra Duani and Deputy Regent Effendi Ahmad on September 19, 2023.

This Permendagri explained that the proposed acting regents and mayors must be carried out by ministers, governors, and DPRD through the chairman of the district/city DPRD.
Harisson explained that an acting regent has important responsibilities, including maintaining inflation stability, reducing stunting levels in the regions, reducing extreme poverty with a target of zero percent by 2024, reducing open unemployment rates and increasing investment.
