JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has fired an officer of the detention center (rutan) with the initials M. This dismissal was confirmed by a member of the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) Syamsuddin Haris.

"Yes, that's right, the person concerned has been dismissed by the KPK," said Syamsuddin when confirmed via written message, Monday night, September 11.

This process occurred after the KPK Inspectorate conducted an examination of M. This is in accordance with the recommendations issued by the KPK Supervisory Board.

The alleged immorality committed by M, based on a copy of the decision of the KPK Council number: 01/DEWAS/ETIK/04/2023, it was stated that he forced the wife of the detainee to show her vulgar body part. This incident occurred when the two were in contact via telephone or video call.

Not only that, M had invited his wife of detainees to stay at a hotel in Jakarta without being accompanied by family. However, the request was rejected.

To investigate the allegation, the KPK Council has asked for information from a number of witnesses, including B, who is the wife of the detainee and his sister-in-law, GM, who is an officer of the KPK Detention Center, did not deny the testimony given.
