Police Arrest 12-Year-Old Boy Slashing Motorcycle Gang In West Bandung

The CimaHI-Cimahi Police Satreskrim ranks arrested a number of motorcycle gang members who stabbed a 12-year-old boy in Parongpong, West Bandung Regency (KBB).

The stabbing took place on Monday early last week. At that time, the victim was walking on the side of the highway after buying food at night.

Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Aldi Subartono said a perpetrator with the initials AS was arrested on Wednesday night along with five of his underage friends.

"Within 48 hours, six people in the case of child abuse in Parongpong were arrested. Two people were named as suspects," Aldi said in his statement, Friday, September 8.

Aldi said the perpetrators of this abuse of minors claimed to be members of a motorcycle gang.

"The perpetrator admitted that he was from the GBR motorcycle group," said Aldi.

Kasatreskrim Cimahi Police AKP Luthfi Olot Gigantara explained the chronology of the stabbing occurred when the perpetrators were about to go home using motorbikes after a drinking party in the Lembang area. The perpetrators then looked for opponents randomly.

"They then passed towards Parongpong and saw that the victim was walking after buying food and then the perpetrator carried out a raid," said Luthfi.

From the results of the investigation, said Luthfi, his staff arrested six perpetrators.

"It turns out that these six people, five of whom are minors and one is an adult and affiliated with one of the motorcycle groups in West Java," said Luthfi.

The two teenagers who were named suspects by his party were based on the roles taken. At the time of the incident, Luthfi explained, the US sitting at the back acted as executors. Meanwhile, AAA (17), another suspect acted as a motorcycle driver.

"The results of the investigation, these two people became suspects. Adult suspects played a role in swinging machetes so that the victim was injured and sewn up as many as 20 stitches. Meanwhile, AaA's son, we suspect him because he was riding a motorbike. So the intention is already there," said Luthfi.

For their actions, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 80 paragraph (1) or Article 80 paragraph (2) of the Child Protection Law and or Article 351 of the Criminal Code paragraph (1) or Article 351 paragraph (2) with a penalty of 5 years in prison.
