Vice President Promises To Fight For Zakat To Be A Tax Reducing For Aceh

BANDA ACEH - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin promised to fight for the realization of policies related to zakat as a tax evader, especially for the province of Aceh.

"I will ask for zakat to reduce taxes. We are fighting for it so that the proposal can be carried out," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, in Banda Aceh as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, September 7.

This was conveyed by Ma'ruf Amin in his remarks at the inauguration of the Regional Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KDEKS) of Aceh Province, at the Anjong Mon Mata Meuligoe Complex, Governor of Aceh, Banda Aceh.

The statement was also in response to the remarks of the same activity as the Acting Governor of Aceh, Achmad Marzuki, who asked the government to realize the tax-reducing zakat for Aceh.

Vice President Ma'ruf conveyed that talking about the sharia economy is not only related to finance, but also sharia social funds, zakat, waqf, infaq, and alms.

He appreciated the Aceh Provincial Government (Pemprov) for building Baitul Mal to accommodate assets from rich people, to then be given to underprivileged people or the economy is not good.

In line with that, the Vice President also asked for the development of sharia entrepreneurs. This step, according to him, is the most important so that more and more people will become muzakki or they will give alms and give alms.

"The first must be built with sharia-based entrepreneur incubation, which has not been grown, grown, which has been strengthened, and the most important thing is to move entrepreneurs into sharia," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of Aceh Achmad Marzuki conveyed as stated in the previous Vice President's visit to Banda Aceh, he hoped that the Vice President would provide support to make zakat a tax evader in Aceh.

"We hope that the Vice President will pay attention if possible so that zakat can be used as a tax (distributor), which of course is in accordance with applicable regulations and regulations," he said.

To note, zakat as a tax evader has been stated in Article 192 of Law Number 11 of 2006 concerning the Government of Aceh (UUPA). But to this day it has not been realized.
