Disturbance Of 2 Wild Drones During The 43rd ASEAN Summit Which Was Finally Forced Down

JAKARTA - TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono said there were no significant problems during the security of the 43rd ASEAN Summit which took place in Jakarta. However, there was action against two illegal or unlicensed drones because they were considered to have the potential to cause disturbances.

"There is no threat that has occurred from outside until now. The drone (problem) has been successfully resolved," Yudo told reporters, Thursday, September 7.

The two illegal drones were forcibly deployed. The officers took action using an antidrone belonging to the TNI.

"According to the current report, only 2 drones have been successfully lowered from the antidrone from Koopsus," said Yudo.

Meanwhile, the presence of wild drones is one of the potential disturbances in the 43rd ASEAN Summit security scheme. This is because the drone could be used by certain parties to commit crimes.

"Yesterday, it was conveyed to the public so that not while implementing the Summit, don't raise the drone if it is not licensed," said Yudo.

The TNI Commander stated that all security for international activities was running safely and smoothly.

"So Alhamdulillah, until this afternoon, from the beginning to this afternoon we were able to control all security activities for PAM at the ASEAN Summit smoothly," said Yudo.
