Not Worried That NU's Voice Will Be Bounced, PKB: Yenny Wahid Is Just A Follower, Cak Imin The Contestant

Chairman of the PKB DPP Cucun Syamsurijal stated that his party was not worried about maneuvering the daughter of President Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), Zannuba Ariffah Chafsoh alias Yenny Wahid, to transfer the support of Nahdlatul Ulama residents to the General Chair, Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin in the 2024 presidential election.

This was said by Cucun in response to Yenny Wahid who met the presidential candidate of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM), Prabowo Subianto, Wednesday, September 6.

Cucun is also not afraid that Yenny's closeness to Prabowo is a strategy to deflate NU's voice to Cak Imin. Because according to him, Yenny is only a supporter so that the aspirations of the Nahdliyin people cannot be accommodated.

"Anyone can carry out a strategy, want to deflate, but later how, who can convince the public, can convince the people that who will be our representation, for example from the extended family who was born since childhood in the Nahdliyin community can determine who will be trusted, entrusted with their aspirations, that's not only as a follower," said Cucun at the PKB DPP office, Cikini, Central Jakarta, Thursday, September 7.

Cucun believes that NU residents will drop their support to Cak Imin. Because he said, Cak Imin was the biological child of NU who immediately became a contestant in the 2024 presidential election.

"If Gus Imin immediately becomes a contestant in this presidential election. If he is only a follower, only a supporter, later the public will be able to distinguish. Which one enters the contestants, which one is only a supporter," said Cucun.
