KPK Prosecutor Dakwa Walkot Bandung Inactive Yana Mulyana Receives Bribe Of IDR 400 Million

JABAR - The inactive Bandung Mayor (Walkot) Yana Mulyana was charged with receiving gratuities in the form of money and facilities amounting to Rp400,407,000. The gratuity is related to the Bandung Smart City project for the procurement of CCTV and internet networks (ISP).

In the indictment read by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Hendra Eka Saputra, it was stated that the money and facilities that Yana received were sourced from the private sector.

The money and the facility came from Benny as director of PT Sarana Mitra Adiguna (PT SMA), Andreas Guntoro as Vertical Slution Manager of PT SMA and Sony Setiadi as Director of PT Citra Jelajah Informatika (CIFO).

In the bribes and gratuities given to Yana by the former Head of the Bandung City Transportation Agency Dadang Gunawan and the Secretary of the Bandung City Transportation Agency Khairur Rijal, it is suspected that they will influence Yana so that she can appoint Benny and Sony companies as the implementation of the procurement of CCTV and ISP services in the city of Bandung.

"Even though it is known or should be suspected that the gift or promise was given to move him to do or not do something in his position," said Hendra at the Bandung Corruption Court, Wednesday, September 6, which was confiscated by Antara.

The KPK prosecutor said the corruption crime occurred between 2022 and 2023 at the Bandung Mayor's Hall, PT Wijaya Jaya Travelindo Office, Citra Housing 2 Pegadungan West Jakarta, and at Blue Saphire Lounge International Garuda Terminal 3 Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten.

Furthermore, he detailed that Yana had received gratuities in the form of money in the form of Rp206,025,000, 14,520 Singapore dollars, 645,000 Yen, 3,000 US dollars and 15,630 Baht.

In addition to receiving money in the form of money, Yana Mulyana also received gratuities in the form of goods, namely a pair of Louis Vuitton type Cruise shoes Charlie Sneaker 1A9JN8 in white, black, and brown through Khairur Rijal.

"We have committed several acts, although each of them is a crime or a violation, namely receiving gratuities directly or indirectly receiving money," he said.

For his actions, the KPK prosecutor charged the former Mayor of Bandung with Article 12 letter a of Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning criminal acts of corruption and as recipients of bribes violating Article 12 letter a or Article 12 letter b concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption.
