Invited By NasDem, PKS Not Present At The Anies-Cak Imin Coalition Political Party Meeting

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) was not present at the meeting of the coalition political parties supporting Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin at NasDem Tower. Even though PKS has been invited by NasDem and has stated that he is willing to attend with PKB at today's consolidation meeting.

Initially, PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin admitted that he did not know about the presence of PKS. Because according to him, his arrival and the PKB DPP management to fulfill NasDem's invitation.

"I don't know if I'm present or not, I haven't received confirmation. But yes, the hosts can answer. I'm just a guest," said Cak Imin.

Deputy NasDem Ahmad Ali then explained about the absence of PKS at this meeting. Ali said that PKS represented by Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi was ready to attend NasDem Tower.

"Regarding PKS, we coordinated yesterday, initially we received confirmation that the PKS secretary general would be with us today for discussion," Ali explained.

Regarding the possibility of PKS joining other coalitions, Ali hopes that the party chaired by Ahmad Syaikhu will still be in the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP). He also hopes that PKS through the shuro council will soon decide to approve Cak Imin as a vice presidential candidate.

"I think we all found out a few days ago or hours after the declaration, the Prosperous Justice Party announced Mr. Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate. This means that the cawapres will be discussed on the mechanism of the Prosperous Justice Party," said Ali.

"We really hope that in the not too distant future PKS will also decide Cak Imin as a vice presidential candidate," he continued.
