During the visit, the Vice President confirmed that the dam, which has been built since 2018, is in accordance with the deadline for work which has now reached the 98.55 percent stage.

The Vice President also emphasized the importance of water resource sustainability to support agricultural productivity, as well as a strategic step in mitigating the impacts of climate change.

In addition, the Vice President also highlighted the opportunity for this dam to support the development of renewable energy in order to reduce dependence on fossil energy.
