TANGERANG - Police arrested a man with the initials BR (29) for allegedly committing embezzlement and motorcycle fraud. The mode is the Cash on Delivery (COD) agreement and vehicle or test drive trial, after which the perpetrator took away.

Kapolsek Batuceper Kompol Susida Aswita said the perpetrator was arrested on Jalan HR. Rasuna Said, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Sunday, August 27.

In the action, said Susida, the initial perpetrator was looking for a motorbike through social media. Then make an appointment with the seller for COD.

After meeting the victim at the specified place, the perpetrator pretended to make an offer transaction to convince the victim.

"During the Drive test, the BR perpetrator took the victim's motorbike away," said Susida in her family, Tuesday, September 5.

Furthermore, the victim who was waiting for the perpetrator, finally realized that his motorbike was taken away after several hours of waiting. The victim also reported the incident to the police.

The police who received the report immediately followed up until finally the perpetrator was arrested and taken to the Batu Ceper Police.

"From the results of the examination, the perpetrators carried out this mode 15 times in the Tangerang City Area, since March 2023," he said.
