Gratification Case, Former Director Of Sumbawa Hospital Charged With Receiving BLUD Funds Of IDR 1.4 Billion

The Mataram District Court (PN) held a trial in the case of alleged gratification of the former Director of the Sumbawa Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dede Hasan Basri, Tuesday, September 5. The trial is scheduled to read the indictment.

In the indictment, Public Prosecutor (JPU) Indra Zulkarnaen said that the defendant Dede, while serving as Director of the Sumbawa Hospital for the 2018-2023 period, had received money from the management of funds from the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) of the Sumbawa Hospital.

The receipt came from the work package procurement activity which took place during the BLUD fund management period at the Sumbawa Hospital in 2022.

"From a number of procurement packages, the defendant received Rp1.4 billion in money," said Indra during the trial, Tuesday, September 5, which was confiscated by Antara.

One of the sources of money received by the defendant, said the prosecutor, came from the procurement of medical devices. The prosecutor in the indictment stated that the gratuity money was for personal gain.

Indra explained that the defendant Dede received the money from a number of partners in the procurement of goods and services.

"The money from the procurement partners was received by MZ and LK, then given to the defendant both in transfer and in cash," he said.

With this description of the indictment, the public prosecutor charged Dede with Article 11 and/or Article 12 letter e and/or Article 23 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 jo. Article 65 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
