Fire Victims In South Petojo Claim To Be Difficulted By Officers While Handling Burned Documents

JAKARTA - Dozens of residents of the remaining fire victims in Kebon Ginger Kober, South Petojo Village, Gambir District, who are still surviving in refugee tents in the Central Jakarta City Government area are starting to complain.

After the fire that destroyed their homes, now residents are also complicated in managing population documents.

One of the complaints emerged from a resident named Aminah. Aminah admitted that it was made difficult when taking care of administrative documents that had disappeared on fire.

In fact, according to him, at that time he had brought a certificate from the police that he was a fire victim.

"In my opinion, this is quite a hassle, because not only birth certificates are taken care of. But there are many administrative documents that must be taken care of," he complained to reporters, Tuesday, September 5.

According to Aminah, this is not the first time she has made a birth certificate. Because her son is in grade VI in elementary school.

"Hopefully something like this doesn't happen, because we are victims of the fire," he said.

Responding to the complaint, the Head of the Dukcapil Sub-dept. of Central Jakarta, Syamsu Bachri, denied that any of his employees made it difficult to manage administrative documents. According to him, if for the new manufacture, the procedure must use two ID cards as witnesses other than the parents' ID cards.

However, for fire victims who have made birth certificates, it will be made easier. You don't have to bring the witness's ID card.

"For fire victims, they only bring family cards so they can be seen by their NIK," he said.
