OIKN Calls Local Wisdom Important To Maintain In IKN Nusantara

The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (OIKN) revealed the importance of maintaining local wisdom of customs in the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago in East Kalimantan.

"In principle, the indigenous people of Balik and Paser in Sepaku are my citizens and their interests are also my interests. If residents don't want flooding, I don't want that to happen either. The most important thing is that we can't, we still maintain local wisdom, customs. Now we are trying to do that, of course, we need help from all indigenous peoples," said OIKN Head Bambang Susantono in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Sunday, September 3.

Bambang said that the IKN Authority wants to introduce that in the IKN area it does have a wealth of customs and remains sustainable.

Therefore, his party wants to start a tourism scheme equipped with a number of facilities, such as homestays, restaurants typical of local traditional foods, as well as traditional traditional life.

"In addition, there are villages that are good at having a number of tourist attractions. But to make it happen, it must be done together, not only by the government itself," said Bambang.

Bahkan, lanjutnya, para tokoh adat juga harus mulai bisa melayani dengan baik, jika ada tamu yang berkunjung ke tempatnya. Dan itu harus dilakukan benar-benar dalam satu program yang dapat dikemaskan oleh Kedeputian Sosial, Budaya, dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (Sosbudpemas) OIKN.

This was conveyed by the Head of OIKN during a discussion with four traditional leaders Balik and Paser, to provide an understanding of the importance of maintaining local wisdom of community customs in the IKN area.

The Head of the Balik Indigenous Village of Sepaku Busydin revealed that this kind of meeting was indeed his hope, because he could have direct dialogue with the head of the IKN Authority. So if there is a program later, it can be conveyed to him, there is no need to invite many people.

"We are happy with the delivery of the Head of the Authority. We certainly provide full support to the government, in this case, the IKN Authority to build the capital city in our place," said Busurdin.
