JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 hit Timor Tengah Selatan Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
Lindu occurred on August 31, 2023 at around 17.29 WIB. The vibrations were felt until Kupang and Alor.
"It feels (MMI) III-IV Alor, II-III Kupang," wrote BMKG in its X account, @infobmkg, Thursday, August 31.
The BMKG in its report stated that the earthquake was located at 9.69 South Latitude, 124.10 East Longitude.
With an earthquake depth of 75 kilometers, this earthquake was located on land 36 km northwest of South Central Timor.
