This Is Ferdy Sambo's Appearance When Executed In Salemba Prison

JAKARTA - The convict Ferdy Sambo was officially executed at the Class IIA Salemba Correctional Institution (Lapas), Central Jakarta. The former Head of the Propam Police Division will serve a life imprisonment for the premeditated murder of Yosua alias Brigadier J.

Based on a photo of the Directorate General of Corrections (Dirjenpas), Ferdy Sambo is seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt. His hair was neatly combed in the back.

Ferdy Sambo can be seen without his attorney's assistance. In the photo, there are only two officers, one of whom sits right in front of him.

The Public Relations and Protocol Coordinator of the Directorate General of Social Affairs, Rika Aprianti, said that Ferdy Sambo was received and recorded at the Salemba Class IIA Prison on Thursday, August 24, at around 17.00 WIB.

"Administrative receipts were carried out, including checking files and health checks," said Rika in her statement, Friday, August 25.

Rika said that the convict Ferdy Sambo would first be placed in the Mapenaling (environmental introduction period) room. The placement is in accordance with the applicable SOP.

"Receipts are made according to the applicable SOP," said Rika.

Not only Ferdy Sambo, two other defendants, namely Ricky Rizal and Strong Ma'ruf, have also been accepted and administratively processed at the Salemba Class IIA Prison.

As a reminder, the Supreme Court cut the sentence of 4 defendants in the premeditated murder case against Yosua alias Brigadier J.

Ferdy Sambo, who was initially sentenced to death, was sentenced to life imprisonment. Then, his wife, Putri Candrawathi, who was originally 20 years old, became 10 years old.

Meanwhile, Strong Ma'ruf, who was originally 15 years old, became 10 years old. And for Bripka Ricky will serve 8 years from the original 13 years.
