PDIP Chairman Said Abdullah Ensures That The Discourse On Ganjar-Anies Is Not Discussed Internally, His Name Is Also Biological

JAKARTA - PDI-P DPP chairman Said Abdullah said the discourse on the duet of Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election was not discussed within his party, because the discourse was only a assumption.

"It's definitely not discussed, people think that the period will be discussed," Said said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 24.

Said also admitted that he did not have a calculation basis in rolling out the duet discourse.

"I wish, if you think about it, there will definitely be no calculation," he said.

On the other hand, Said admitted that the discussion regarding the potential figure for the vice presidential candidate (cawapres) which was rolling internally at the PDI-P to accompany Ganjar Pranowo regarding seven names.

"That's what's there, and that's what has been in the pocket of the General Chairperson (Megawati Soekarnoputri), along with our (Ganjar Pranowo) presidential candidate, along with our political party friends along with us," he said.

The seven names, he said, were PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, SOE Minister Erick Thohir, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno.

Then, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD, former TNI Commander General (Purnawirawan) Andika Perkasa, Mayor of Surakarta Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Ganjar-Cak Imin. There are seven, the first is Mr. RK (Ridwan Kamil), then Mr. Erick (Erick Thohir), then Mr. Sandiaga. There is Mr. Mahfud, there is Mr. Andika, finally there is Mas Gibran who is indeed our cadre," he said.

Previously, PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said the discourse on the duet of Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan as presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 election was under the authority of PDIP DPP Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Hasto said he had asked Megawati for her views on the discourse previously raised by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Said Abdullah.

"So Mr. Said conveyed it but earlier I also asked the general chairman to explain that it was the domain of the general chairman and so far it has not been decided who will accompany Pak Ganjar Pranowo," said Hasto.
