JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government will not provide any incentives to private companies that are willing to participate in implementing work from home (WFH) policies during the ASEAN Summit as applied to DKI ASN. Now, as many as 50 percent of ASN do not serve the community directly through the WFH work system with others continuing to work in the office or work from office (WFO). "For those who want to work from home, there are no incentives. Call, yes, because of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, it is red and white. That is the call. So the rights and responsibilities of citizens, what rights, what obligations, carry out that," said Heru at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, August 23. "This is a call for the soul for us, who replied to Gusti Allah," he continued. Heru invites the private sector to decide whatever the operational mechanism and working hours of its employees. Given, this has an impact on the company's economy. "I don't ask them WFH because of various kinds of economic activities whose sizes are those who know," he said. However, Heru hopes that they understand that this policy was carried out to support the smooth running of the meeting of delegates from countries throughout Southeast Asia by seeking to control congestion and air pollution. "This is a state call, you know, for all of us. Sacrifice. If you say profit or not, go ahead. Those who want profit, please, those who want to sacrifice themselves for the sake of the Republic of Indonesia, we will appreciate it," said Heru.

Furthermore, Heru admitted that he would still try to ask employers' associations to be able to implement WFH or at least support the implementation of the ASEAN Summit peak specifically from 5 to 7 September 2023. "We will invite APINDO, KADIN, ASPRINDO, maybe tomorrow, discuss what we have to do. Later I will convey the points so that the Polda Metro, Dishub and the TNI Regional Police Military Command will have easier to regulate," he added.
