Joko said that the purchase of electric vehicles for Echelon IV was only an appeal and was not an obligation.
"Not only Echelon IV, but DKI Jakarta Provincial Government employees are advised to use low-emission electric vehicles," said Joko.
Previously, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono asked that the transportation allowance for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (ASN) Echelon IV and above be diverted to buy electric vehicles.
"If DKI officials have transportation allowances, now I ask to divert them to buy electric motorcycles," said Heru.
