Carrying Sister Province, Ganjar Explores The Potential For Central Java Cooperation With ASEAN Countries

SEMARANG Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo attended the Gala Dinner 55th ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) at Klteng Sam Poo Kong, Semarang, Sunday, August 20 evening. This opportunity was used by Ganjar to explore the potential for international cooperation for the advancement of Central Java.

"We hope that the potentials of ASEAN can grow, together we work together in the region, including related to many things that we can equate with ASEAN," explained Ganjar when meeting with a number of economic ministers and representatives from ASEAN member countries.

During his tenure in Central Java, Ganjar collaborated with various fields with many countries. Among them are Australia in the field of health and renewable energy, Malaysia in the food sector, Thailand in agriculture, China in the field of labor, to Norway in the field of energy transition.

Even though it is already running, Central Java's cooperation with a number of ASEAN countries is increasing. So that the confirmed cooperation can make both parties stronger.

"If our productivity is the same, our market is also large, then we can synergize, collaborate, this is a tremendous force," said Ganjar.

Ganjar also emphasized the importance of increasing productivity and ease of licensing to attract cooperation between many countries, including ASEAN. Therefore, the collaboration between Central Java and stakeholders is always based on integrity.

"If then with ASEAN we strengthen each other, of course it is not too difficult. So that we can increase productivity, facilitate our permits to do, enforce road law, I think all (states) will come," said Ganjar.

While leading Central Java, Ganjar also strengthened cooperation between provinces in friendly countries. Strengthening the collaboration is Ganjar's work program titled 'Sister Province'.

For information, the event was not only attended by representatives of ASEAN member countries but also ASEAN partner countries including China, South Korea, Japan, India, Australia and New Zealand, as well as strategic partners such as the United States, European Union, Canada, Russia, and Britain.
