Bandung Administrative Court For Field Trials In Depok Regarding Residents' Lawsuits To Perseroda Bangun Tank Air 10 Million Liters

The panel of judges at the Bandung State Administrative Court (PTUN) held a field session in Depok, West Java (West Java).

The activity was related to the residents' lawsuit against PT Tirta Asasta Depok (Perseroda) which built a water tank aka a water tank with a capacity of 10 million liters near settlements.

"Today's agenda is a local examination at the request of the plaintiff, so we are reviewing the location," said Head of the Bandung Administrative Court Judges, Ardoyo Whardana, in Depok, West Java, Friday, August 18, confiscated by Antara.

The panel of judges in the field trial could not explain in detail. He asked to wait for an official statement from the public relations department of the Bandung Administrative Court.

PT Tirta Asasta Operations Director Depok City Sudirman followed the ongoing process at the Bandung Administrative Court.

"Whatever the panel of judges asks, we give. We have carried out the procedure, including licensing and socialization. We have evidence of all of that," said Sudirman.

Sudirman explained that the construction of the 10 million liter water tank was to improve water distribution services to PT Tirta Asasta Depok Perseroda customers.

"It was built into a Legong water tank. This development is to improve services to the community, especially customers. This program is sustainable because we have increased the capacity of water treatment installations (IPA)," he said.

In addition, he continued, controlling service problems. During the flood season, the water will be cloudy and cannot produce water.

"We cannot produce, even during the rainy season it can be up to 8 hours of production, services are usually immediately disrupted," he said.

He continued, "This is also needed by our customers. Why since the first until now a company as big as PT Tirta Asasta has not been able to overcome obstacles like this? This is our first goal to improve services," he said.

Representative of community leaders Pesona Didik Housing J. Rachbini said that the construction of a water tank of 10 million liters of water if broken will endanger the lives of the people around it because this building is close to residential areas.

"The volume of water is very large so if it breaks it will endanger the lives of the people around it, which are only a dozen meters from schools, mosques and settlements very densely populated," said Didik J. Rachbini.

According to him, the development does not have the feasibility of technical studies, amdals, no buffer zones, and many other weaknesses.

"This is dangerous and potentially like the Situ Gintung reservoir which claimed 99 human lives," he said.

Didik J. Rachbini said that residents had complained to the West Java Administrative Court, and the judge had visited the location, just waiting for the results from the review.

"Residents have rights. I want to underline that if the project continues and there are victims, parties involved such as the regional government and leaders must be punished for passing projects to endanger residents," he concluded.
